Our Mission
The Community Council is a non-political, unaffiliated group of concerned citizens, interested in the quality of life, present and future economic growth, and fiscal well-being of Nash & Edgecombe Counties.
We want to be the “conscience” of the community. At least one voice that raises questions, offers suggestions, and reminds government of its responsibility to its constituents and of the consequences of its actions.
We want to encourage the general public to be more involved in the process.
Our Purpose
- To serve as a voice for all taxpayers and the community at large
- To serve as a watchdog for government spending
- To evaluate and propose solutions to area problems and concerns
- To encourage economic growth and development
